The U.S. Department of Energy’s Hanford Field Office contractor Hanford Tank Waste Operations and Closure (H2C) has awarded three subcontracts that expand the site’s capabilities for the future disposition of tank-side treated waste, providing additional tools to support Hanford’s cleanup mission.
The awards were made to Perma-Fix, EnergySolutions and Waste Control Specialists to support future tank-side treated waste generated from Hanford’s 200 West Area. Together, the contracts establish commercial grouting capabilities that can be deployed as cleanup needs evolve while maintaining safe, compliant waste disposition options.
