In January, the court approved a Legacy Committee recommendation to provide Waste Control Specialists’ funding for the $2 million Public Area Renovation project at the county golf course.
The project will provide improvements to the only public portion of the course, along with creating a new No. 13 green, according to county officials.
Specifically, it will involve adding synthetic greens, a synthetic par-three practice hole for the school programs and the public, synthetic tee box areas, a wall, trees and a green composed of Bermuda grass to allow school programs to prepare for tournament play, among other amenities, they added.
